While in or passing through Mt. Jackson, the
Chamber of Commerce would like you to visit the many fun and historic sites in and
around our town.
In the springtime you can enjoy experiencing history at the
New Market Battlefield Re-enactment. Also right up the road you can
experience nature at it's best at
Shenandoah
Caverns, or relive America's past at
American
Celebration on Parade,
and their newest attraction the Yellow Barn.
As the weather grows warmer, take a ride down the North Fork River and enjoy
some fabulous fishing while your at it. As the evening rolls around, you can
enjoy your favorite
era of music out under the stars at the
Orkney Springs Music Festival.
As the grapes ripen on the vines, experience the pleasure of the many
vineyards in the
area with beautiful scenery, and wine tasting. As you cross
Meems Covered Bridge one
of the oldest
covered bridges left in Virginia, stop off at the
Corn Maize for an afternoon of adventure. And make sure you don't
miss the Mt. Jackson Chamber's annual
Apple-Grape Harvest
Festival.
All year around you can enjoy the activities at
Bryce Resort, from putt-putt to an 18 hole round of golf, to
skiing and snow tubing down the slopes.
For more information about any of these events, please contact the Mt.
Jackson Chamber
and we will be happy to assist you.
